One Day Trip to... Teluk Intan Teluk Intan is a small town in Perak, formerly known as Teluk Anson.
Menara Condong The tower had a clock at the top, and still rings every 15 minutes now. The clock tower was originally used as a water tower, supplying water to the town area, while also reporting the time to all townfolks. It had also served as a beacon to guide ships into Teluk Intan Port. Currently it is a local tourist attraction, and no longer stores water. The area around the tower was paved with bricks and became a plaza.
Teluk Intan Specialty Chee Cheong Fun I grew up in Teluk Intan so this to me is the ‘original’ Chee Cheong Fun. All other chee cheong fun that I discovered later were all not good at all. Bland and you had to pour chilly sauce or the Tee Cheoh to make it sweet.
ROJAK Ah Chai After which, we went to Ah Chai rojak nearby the tower. Here, they serve coconut water and rojak. It was not the best rojak I have eaten. However, the difference with this rojak was there were pieces of mangoes in the mix. You can actually taste some "prawn-taste" in the keropok too. =) SeaFood
